Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2026 Corporate Equality Index, the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

The Corporate Equality Index rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:
  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
  • Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
  • Outreach and engagement.
“At Summit, we believe that diversity is our strength. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates the talents and honors diverse perspectives and backgrounds of our employees,” said Kim Sponem, CEO and President of Summit Credit Union. “Our participation in the Corporate Equality Index shows that our efforts are making a meaningful difference and it inspires us to keep improving.”

Summit’s results place it alongside employers nationwide striving to build more inclusive and equitable workplaces.

“For nearly a quarter of a century, the Corporate Equality Index has put a maker down for businesses committed to inclusion and transparency for all workers. Now, more than ever, we celebrate them,” said Kelley Robinson, President of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. “No matter the environment, companies that communicate clearly and lead with transparency earn trust, retain talent and strengthen their business.”
